1999 – 2015

Some of the places that the houseparents and four boys volunteered:

• Adult Day Care Centre – transporting patients, assisting in exercise programs, playing games with clients, assisting with lunch and tea breaks.
• Meals on Wheels – delivering meals to the elderly and disabled
• Hospital – manage the magazine cart; lawn care; snow removal
• Homework Haven – help children with homework whose parents are still at their job
• Long Term Care -singing, activities, visiting

In 2015, CPS purchased new property in St. John’s, the capital of Newfoundland, and moved this unit over there. After serving the city for 16 years, they moved because there would be more opportunities for volunteer work in St. John’s, and the unit would be closer the church mission at Catalina, and could help along there.
